Folks it is with a very heavy heart that I have news on Jerry. He passed away today 21 November at 1400 Eastern time. There are to be no services. He's no longer in pain.

With a very heavy heart, this is so tragic, Jerry will be remembered as one of the really great pistolsmiths, always looking for greater and greater perfection in his work. And all the while willing to share his insights and findings with anyone willing to listen. God bless you Jerry, you will never be forgotten.

It is so great that he managed to put out such a massive amount of info all over the internet. I doubt there is a 1911 pistolsmith who hasn’t Googled up one of Jerry’s posts. Thanks to his willingness to share, he will continue influencing pistolsmiths for a long time to come, even if they did not get to meet him in this lifetime.

100-10X to you, Jerry

Jerry will be greatly missed. I absolutely loved when he'd post replies as he always provided more information than the question asked. A true master of the trade. Rest in peace Jerry.
