Here's the latest 1911 I've been working on. A .38 Super Gov't model built on a Caspian frame and slide. A friend hot blued the small parts and anodized the trigger and grips, and I rust blued the frame and slide using Laurel Mountain.

It's a real shooter, too. Seven shots at 10 yds after first getting her back together.

awesome diy build!!! I am doing my first also and just finished assembly and still have some finishing work to do also but I hit a snag with trigger follow and have to resolve the issue before continuing, I posted in diy under phantom jig/frame build if you might have any advice for me!!
