We do not get to many revolver post here so I thought I would post a pic of my latest. It was to nice to pass up.
4" Smith and Wesson 585( no dash) (No M). The only thing I see missing is the over travel stop in the trigger slot. If some on has a stop and screw let me know (may be nice to have). ENJOY...I am 8-)

Nice! I always liked the blued L-frames.
On the off chance you may not have heard -
The over-travel stop was likely either never installed or removed per S&W service bulletin. They have a penchant for coming loose and preventing the gun from firing. A better solution is a short piece of drill rod inside the rebound slide spring. Works perfect and cannot stop the gun from firing. Just a little aggravation to fit. Once fitted, you're done forever.

Thanks Bill, I believe the slot was cut in all of them and only the target/ distinguish got the stops installed. I too like the internal rods. when fit right can make gun to DAO...

Best

I had a 4" in the early 80s and sold it, dumb move.
Just bought a new one, 3", and I like it a lot.

I realy love the older S&W revolvers, if the timing is ok and the price is right... I buy them. last year I bought 7 K-frame (mod13 and 64 for 25 euro each!) and 2 686 revolvers.

now I have a lathe and plan some custom PPC revolver builds in the near future :-)

the market here in Belgium for revolvers is dead... not tacticool and most shooters can't shoot DA. the highest PPC scores are stil shot with revolvers
