These were the last piece needed to finish these last projects here. :) I thickened up the sight body to allow for the MKIII variations which have a deeper dovetail. I also changed the front corners to an angled bevel instead of a radius to better blend with the various slide profile Radii.

The previous two posters will get to see some raw pictures sometime this weekend...finally...lol.

There is something very gratifying in seeing a pile of identical CNC'ed parts.... :D

Chuck,

Again I'm new here, but I feel like you and I may have been separated at birth. Looking over your thoughts on the Hi Power, we share so much of the same viewpoints. Hi Power sights has always been problematic. The one that tends to come out looking right is the Novak. Many want the Heinie but I'm just not happy with how it comes out, with the bottom edge sticking out from the rear of the frame. It's complicated by the fact that the rear of the slide on Hi Powers is notoriously inconsistent, makes us guys go crazy.

I've managed to file a Heinie to the point to where it looked right, but it was a complete re-do of the sight that was supposed to be for a Hi Power in the first place; ugh! So like you, I've turned to making my own sights. It's fun to make sighs from scratch, but it's the VERY expensive way to go about things. At some point I'll file up a master, scan it into CAD and have a few turned out. What's funny is, what you came up with is VERY similar to what I created. Mine is a little more rounded (I'm betting you'll do the same at some point), mostly just cleaning up all the edges.

But of late, I've been thinking outside the box, things like; why are all rear sights dovetailed in?

Are there any rear shots of your sights like Reed Edwards posted? I'd love very to see how your sights blend with the body.

We have changed them a little Edwin, and should have some shots up in the coming weeks, but nothing at the moment.

If they are not on our website, they will be in days. We have been making a lot of monumental changes. You can call the shop as well.
