Wow!  Never heard of that maker.  Looks like the skeketon of a person whose bones have realigned after many years of walking with a tilt to compensate for a bad hip. The photos made my head hurt as my brain kept trying to fight to line up what my eyes were feeding it.

Got a  at BBBBill's response: "G = Gotcha"

Once in a while, when I step up to the plate, I actually hit the ball.

That's an amazing looking pistol.................................................... at least it would have been 200 years ago! The owner is taking it in stride.

He does have a great attitude about it. I was concerned that he was moving much too fast, but he seems to have taken the advice to slow down with good grace. I think that he's going to be OK if he continues on that course. He's got a pig-in-a-poke gun that probably has so much wrong with it that he will be fully occupied learning how to fix it for a long time.... if it can be fixed. It will certainly be a great learning experience even if it cannot be fixed as long as he maintains an open mind and does not get too frustrated. His photos are great. He could probably teach a lot of us how to do better photos of our work.

I might be wrong but I think the stamped letters on the barrel stand for Mediocre Pistolsmiths Guild. What could be wrong with it?

Brilliant! An early example of Chuck Roger's amazingly mediocre pistolsmthing!
