Look forward to it. Is there going to be a "follow along" thread?

Chuck-

As I mentioned today, I find 18" perfect in a 308. I have little use for anything over 22" in that caliber. 16" will get me to 1000M...as far as the 308 is concerned that is almost the limit any how. Rifle length gas system in a DI gun, is perfect 18" unless it is going to be run suppressed I can't find a reason to use a piston system, more parts, cost and weight don't make sense to me for my end uses. Twist 1-10" or even a bit faster, say 1-9" will be my next experiment in a 16" tube. Now granted all my shooting is above 4000' in elevation so really 1-12" should do it, but shorter barrels with faster twists, don't seem to lack much.

And what was the final cost of this all out rifle ???
I still cringe when the word "build" is used. Assembled would be better as all we are doing is assembling a bunch of ready to go parts ! Good fun though, carry on.

I cringe when someone digs up an almost year old thread to criticize.

I cringe when someone doesn't have the manners to make a proper introduction.

You make a very large assumption that we just assemble. This would be incorrect. We make our barrels, and installed them on a ready made rifle for test purposes. When we launch these, they will be made here. Made, not assembled. If I say build, it means exactly that. Carry on....

For the rest, I will post some photos of the "assembled" test mules in the coming days. They can be viewed on Facebook at the moment. I think we finally got our photobucket account squared away and I have some catching up to do.

:D

I don't have a clue about any of the acronyms or any of the tech stuff, but I'm looking forward to it just the same, knowing Chuck a little and having seen some great things emerge from here. Thanks for the continuing education!

Long overdue, but some well used prototypes. We should be starting a few production rifles towards the fall...
