Yep, very good folks. Know them personally. Americans....lol.

For what its worth, 1911Forum is now Canadian owned, and that's the reason I don't participate there. They don't want their citizens to have guns, but wanna make money off of guns...

Kinda like the Pope investing in whorehouses....

Respect your input Chuck. You are way more in tune with the industry details. Didn't know that about 1911 forum either!
Thanks for the post on the Mag!

Pretty wild they are Canadian now considering their stance. I'm sure there are tons of Canadians that love firearms so unless the government themselves own it or someone anti 2A owns it its a bit irrelevant but still strange.

I would agree mostly.
My stance is simply this, having personally been responsible for 5 of the highest viewed threads over there, that actually drive their advertising dollars, I'd rather help keep that here at the end of the day. The group that owns it now are certainly not anti gun people and seem to be a quite successful media giant.
For me it's always a two way street in that regard, but every little bit counts these days and I'd rather make an effort to benefit this side of the border when it comes down to it.
I've been on 1911 Forum for a long time, many others much longer.. Lotta good stuff has come from that place, but the time HAS come to draw a line, so for me personally, I wanna benefit those here and around me.
Nothing bad or nefarious, but someone's making a lot of money off of it, and if it's going outta country, well, I'd like to do my part to redirect it back here.

good info, thanks Chuck. I don't post much at either site, never did a whole lot. I got lots of help over there when I needed it, and am still such a rookie that I read more than post here. Course most of the help I got there came from the good people on this site so......

I wasn't able to get comfortable there anyway. Somehow the place just didn't feel right for me. It's much better here, and the talk is focused more on my specific interests.
